Genetic Drift

Game Designer & Gameplay Programmer – Bear King (Septermber 2014 – May 2015)

Genetic Drift is a multiplayer twin-stick shooter where players engineer micro-organisms for battle by choosing their DNA sequences (abilities).

Responsibilities
  • Designed ability system to allow player’s freedom in choosing how they want to play and interesting interactions between abilities
  • Programmed gameplay logic in C++ including organism abilities and feedback
  • Drafted UI mockups, UI theming, and layout
  • Maintained the project’s creative vision so that artists, programmers and musicians were all on the same page
